Forecasting markets using astrology midpoints
Could Friday's Midpoint combination form a shot-term top in the markets within days?
29 May 2026 — Jupiter sitting between the midpoint of Pluto and Saturn.
Jupiter = Pluto Saturn
Midpoints in financial astrology
As planets move, one will sometimes form an exact mathematical alignment between two others. The planet in the middle is the trigger, and the formula is written as: Planet = Planet Planet. For example: Mars = Uranus Saturn.
Midpoints can be read on their own in the sky, or against an astrology chart for market forecasting. I can almost guarantee many of the best financial astrologers are using midpoints in some way to forecast markets or look at clients personal astrology.
However, any forecasting methodology for market is simply a tool, at the hands of the astrologer. All roads should lead to the same path in good forecasting. Whether that is using something such as Vedic, different astrology methods, Elliot Wave analysis on charts or even the use of cycles. The skill lies in the forecaster rather than the choice of tools. But good tools will make a much better share markets prediction and especially for confirmation bias. Few would use only one source for a tock market forecast unless it is tried and tested over many years, if not decades. Ray Merriman and his MMA Cycles work is one such example of this.
Just like trading, intuition forms a major part of share market analysis. As most in the markets know — you cannot study a gut feeling or actual experience in the markets. But it is a powerful tool when you add cycles or something such as financial astrology to intuition. Again you would almost never use intuition alone to take a trade I the markets.
Midpoints are one tool that I added in later years into my analytic methods which I have found invaluable for forecasting major pivots.
Forecasting share markets with midpoints
Midpoint astrology is one of the more slightly advanced methodologies professional astrologers use. It is also the sort of analytic work that the time of writing cannot be really replicated by computers or AI trading programs. The irony is that it is actually one of the stronger forecasting tools financial astrologers use.
Before the AI astrology crowd rushes to code this in, the whole picture matters. There is very little research and stock market historical data of different midpoint settings for markets and there are many combinations possible.
Information on midpoints for forecasting markets and for personal money astrology is one thing I am adding to my upcoming Financial Astrology Course. Because it works.
The Saturn-Pluto midpoint (Sa/Pl) in mundane astrology
In traditional astrology texts on midpoints (The Combination of Stellar Influences, the standard reference text for midpoints), Saturn/Pluto is read as a “hard labour” or “severe effort” point. In mundane charts it is associated with:
Periods of forced restructuring of institutions, governments or financial systems
Hard economic conditions, austerity, contraction or significant loss of resources
Mass events involving control, suppression or the exercise of state power
Heavy collective burdens — large-scale crises that require endurance rather than quick resolution
Crisis points that expose underlying structural weakness
You can see how economic themes already apply to mundane astrology without a specific financial discipline. All the more potent once we add this to an economic forecasting method.
The Saturn-Pluto midpoint in financial astrology
In financial astrology we call the Saturn-Pluto combination a point of hard economic times and possible problems. It does not mean an individual is necessarily going to go bankrupt. Just these themes can appear if the conditions are met in the present, and there is a possibility due to prior actions. When it is aspected in a chart, it can indicate hard financial conditions, financial turmoil, and yes, themes related to debt and bankruptcy.
For those who read my last Substack on BlackRock — it is an accidental irony that most of the astrology analysis focused on Saturn and Pluto in contact. The similar themes applied without a midpoint setup.
In personal money astrology, triggers to this midpoint by transit of a planet such as Saturn or Pluto, or perhaps even as an eclipse to this point can mark difficult financial periods. In the case off hard Pluto-Saturn transits one may perhaps look to smaller frustrations — bank fraud, credit card problems, payment glitches.
Uranus = Saturn Pluto Midpoint
Going back to markets one of the best midpoints I have found and used personally, for spotting market lows and large dips, is the combination of Uranus between Saturn and Pluto in the sky.
Uranus = Saturn Pluto.
I must have found it at least five times, producing a substantial market drop. Saturn-Pluto is the financial element; Uranus is the trigger that introduces the disruption between them. The drops are not always of a major crash-scale, but they are often substantial
I have many other significant drops on the same Uranus = Saturn Pluto transit. If you search Twitter (X) for “Uranus Saturn Pluto midpoint” you will find my posts going back several years for actual dates.
1929 Black Thursday — Uranus = Saturn Pluto
Despite not calling it “a crash aspect”, it certainly would be one where Black Thursday 1929 example concerned. You could send yourself round in circles trying to explain that move with a standard astrological chart transit reading. The answer sits in the midpoint setup.
May 29, 2026 Jupiter = Saturn Pluto
Where things alter a little from the picture of 1929 or other years, things are currently much more buoyant as they were then. Also what differs, is we change the trigger planet to Jupiter, rather than Uranus, sitting between Saturn and Pluto. To my eye that changes the energy of the combination into something more much more positive and the market is reflecting it — rallying into dizzying heights.
Jupiter is”the party” in the markets - the great benefactor I astrology. Jupiter between 2 planets certainly could be thought to add a positive characteristic. One that is certainly not negative.
My first thought was: does this combination also mark tops? So, as any working financial astrologer does, I started back-testing.
I found an old Twitter post of mine on the same Jupiter = Pluto Saturn combination from 2023, so this is not the first time the idea “does this aspect form tops” has come up.
The result: yes, it was a top in this last instance. There was also a Supermoon which may skew things slightly but it is more likely it was the midpoint set up doing the job. 31 August 2013, within one trading session - a top formed .
You would never make a market forecast off a single instance of an astrology transit in isolation, so I tested further dates in the past.
19 July 2007 — Jupiter = Saturn Pluto: another top.
On the same chart above (July 2007) you can see a second major top October 11. I tested that one too — Jupiter and Uranus exactly between Saturn and Pluto, to the day. Another major top.
Bringing it back to today
Jupiter = Saturn Pluto May 29 2026
The much-hyped SpaceX listing is reportedly pricing into a 90-100x PE — meaning investors are paying $90 to $100 for every $1 of earnings. Multiples like that were last seen at the dot-com peak of 1999-2000 and the post-COVID bubble of 2021. The index itself is being carried by a handful of mega-cap technology names; breadth has thinned. This week also brought a large MOC (market-on-close) sell imbalance of around 4 Billion dollars on the Nasdaq, from the institutional desks — at that size it suggests players are quietly stepping out into the close, while retail keeps buying. That pattern, historically, marks a distribution phase rather than an accumulation one.
Over the weekend as I wrote this Michael Bury is finding all sorts of holes in the numbers of Nividia chips with interesting numbers. No surprises, Trump is typing in caps about Iran and not giving in. Anything could happen on tomorrow’s market session.
It is worth noting The Venus-Jupiter conjunction due in a fortnight may add one more push of momentum before the wider picture asserts itself. It is not a certainty this marks THE top and I am certainly not suggesting to place a trade on this article. I a simply pointing out the historical possibilities. In fact there is such strong astrology due July it would be unlikely the markets do not have a bit further to climb around July - but we are only at June.
I do have another significant astrology transit coming up in around just under a fortnight that I am also wary with for the long side.
I will likely cover that one in detail in a new format on my Patreon next week for those who want more forecasting for markets which the traffic seems to conclude is what people want financial astrology for. No, I am not giving away fifteen years of share-market forecasting for free on my Substack page for the most part but I do like to share interesting things that I see in the financial astrology realm and I do like to teach real financial astrology
I am not calling a top here. I am illustrating that as a financial astrologer, I am certainly open to the possibility of this midpoint set up being noteworthy and it may strike with timing as a possible window of the good times reaching a crescendo for the short term within days?
A note on timing:
In financial astrology we always work with a window of two to three trading days either side of the exact date.
A favourite quote on market forecasting from Bill Meridian, one of the best financial astrologers there is — the 100%/85% rule:
“If you are 100% certain, you are probably wrong. If you are 85% certain, you have a healthy degree of doubt”. Bill Meridian
No professional financial astrologer will ever say “something IS going to happen”. Be wary if you see that in your money and astrology travels.
Financial Astrology Course
I’m finishing off Profit With The Planets — Financial Astrology Course. It covers financial astrology end-to-end: market timing methods like midpoints, eclipses and transits, plus personal and business money astrology.
Whether someone is a trader wanting to add astrology to their edge, or an astrologer ready to specialize in markets, the course takes you from foundations through to advanced forecasting.
I am specifically making this a good bridging system for astrologers who wish to pivot into markets and would like to forecast more economic events.
Launching hopefully 28 July 2026 — a date I have chosen deliberately for its astrology, which I will be naturally teaching inside the course.
